Cairns is the biggest city that is at the top end of Queensland and is located in a place where the weather is always hot even during the mid year cool months. But the heat is worth it if you are planning a holiday here because there are so many fun things to do and you can always cool off at one of the many nice beaches. Cairns is a place where you can find many tours of the surrounding area and all the local attractions. There are family tours and single tours or if you are on your honeymoon there are also some very romantic tours.

Take a hot air balloon over the mountain ranges or along the water front and see the sights as the birds do as they fly around this great country side. The rainforest tours are great fun to see the natural forests and the nocturnal night tours are a blast going out spotting the animals that prefer being awake at night. Cairns offers white water rafting, 4WD tours and even helicopter scenic flights but the one thing that always calls me when I holiday in Cairns is the Barrier Reef tour where you go out is a boat and snorkel around the reef coral.

Other tours include whale watching, ship wreck diving, overnight reef tours, sailing charters and much more. I like to hire a car from car rental Cairns airport to travel around at my own time and see the sights that I missed out on the last time around. I take a tent for camping and some of my fishing gear and make a good holiday adventure with the time that I have.
